What is signature authentication on an NDA?
Signature authentication on an NDA is a procedure under the Notaries Law, 1976 (חוק הנוטריונים, תשל״ו-1976), where the notary certifies that each signatory appeared in person, identified themselves with an ID or passport, and signed the agreement willingly with full understanding. The notarial certification gives the NDA enhanced evidentiary weight in court and deters breaches.

Can I authenticate an NDA signature without visiting the notary?

Is an NDA with notarial authentication stronger?
Yes. The notarial certification constitutes sufficient evidence in court (Section 19). It becomes very difficult to claim the signature was forged or that the signer didn't understand the agreement.
